2010 ITSN America Regional Meeting
ITSN's Americas Regional Meeting will take place in Garrison, New York State, USA from 26-28 February 2010. Registration is open to all member organisations in North, Central and South America. The form, which includes all logistical details including how to make payment for accommodation, and all other details can be found here ~ http://www.tibetnetwork.org/americaregistration2010. (No login needed)
The meeting venue is the Garrison Institute. In order to keep costs to our members down as much as possible, ITSN has applied a small subsidy to the price of accommodation and meals for everyone in a twin or tripe/quad room (no subsidy for single rooms!), so the cost for 2 nights' stay will be $200 in a twin room and $160 in triple or quad (in a single, 2 nights will cost $260).
Garrison Institute is easily accessible by train from New York (it is just an hour from Grand Central Station). Generally there is train every hour. A Shuttle bus will meet people from Garrison Station for the 5 minute journey to the Garrison Institute.
To avoid additional expense we strongly encourage all participants to plan to take the 08.45 train on Friday morning from New York to Garrison, which arrives just in time for the start of the meeting. If you are coming from far afield, and are able to stay with friends of relatives in New York on the night of Thursday 27th February, this is highly recommended. (You can also choose to travel directly to Garrison on Thursday but you will be charged for an extra night.) The meeting will close no later than 1.30pm on Sunday 28th February, which should allow plenty of time to return to New York or its airports for the journey home.
We recommend looking over the transportation details to Garrison before booking your travel. Click to download 1. transportation and travel guide; 2. driving direction. Or visit Garrison Institutes website directly here ~ http://www.garrisoninstitute.org/facility.php?type=directions.
