July 6: His Holiness the Dalai Lama's Birthday

His Holiness the Dalai Lama was born in Taktser in the border area in eastern Tibet in July 6, 1935. This day is celebrated all over the Tibetan world with much fanfare. Tibetans inside Tibet commemorate it in traditional way by visiting temples, burning incense, and simply having picnic.
