March 10: Tibetan National Uprising Day
Fifthy first Tibetan National will be commemorated throughout the world, while in Tibet, security restriction will be in place in attempts to coerce Tibetan people's into inaction and silence.

EUROPE:
Norway: Norwegian Tibet Committee will stage protest at the Chinese Embassy Oslo. Protest outside of the Chinese Embassy 10 March at 16:00 hrs, and then candle light vigil outside the Norwegian Parliament from 17:15 to 18:00 hrs. Three members of Norwegian parliament will present appeals: MP Olemic Thommesen, MP Trine Skei Grande and MPStine Renate Håheim. They represents both the ruling party and opposition.The programme ends with a screening of Tibet film at the Human Rights House in Oslo, Kirkegata 5, 5th floor, at 18:30. USA:
Indiana: A “March for Tibet's Independence” will begin at 9.00am at the Indiana Governor's Mansion (4750 N. Meridian, Indianapolis) on March 10 and will conclude at Monument Circle in downtown Indianapolis. This walk coincides with the 51st Anniversary of China's illegal occupation of Tibet and the Tibetans' uprising in Lhasa (Tibet's capitol city) in response to this brutal attack on March 10, 1959.
Southern California: Tibetan Association of Southern California and LA Friends of Tibet will jointly Commemorate 51st Anniversary of 1959 Uprising and 2nd Anniversary of the 2008 Uprising this year in front of the Chinese Consulate in Los Angeles. Chinese government in 2009 announced that they will commemorate March 28 as the 'Sef Emancipation Day'. The irony of the term and occation baffled not only Tibetan, but all those who knows little bit about Tibet. Tibetan and supporters in free countries organised events to counter Chinese governement's false claim and misrepresentation of recent events in suit their need.

March 24 - 30: Chinese VP Xi Jinping foreign visit
Chinese Vice President, who is touted to be next President of China will visit four European countries: Russia from March 20 - 24, and Belaruse, Finland and Sweden from March 24 - 30. Below is the official announcement:
At the invitation of Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, Chairman of the United Russian, Vice President Xi Jinping, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, will pay an official visit to Russia from March 20 to 24. At the invitation of Belarusian President Alexander Kukashenko, Finnish President Tarja Halonen and Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt, Vice President Xi will pay official visits to Belarus, Finland and Sweden from March 24 to 30.
